What makes Cap Cana different
Cap Cana is a private, gated development on the south-eastern tip of the island, just south of Punta Cana International Airport. Hotels, villas, golf, the marina and the adventure park all sit behind a single controlled entrance, which is why it feels calmer and more polished than the busier Bávaro strip.
For travelers the practical appeal is the distance: about 18 minutes from the terminal, the shortest transfer of any resort area in the region. You land and you are at the pool before the Bávaro crowd has left the highway.
What you give up is walkable nightlife and cheap local restaurants. Most guests here either stay inside the resort or take a car when they want to go out — which is exactly what our private transfers and tours are for.
